  • Green Cleaning, Sanitizing, and Disinfecting: A Toolkit for Early Care and Education -- Recently updated by the Western States Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit, this collection of resources, including a checklist, posters, and fact sheets, presents practical information on how to keep child care clean and safe while also reducing infectious diseases.
  • What’s so great about microfiber? -- This fact sheet, which is part of the Green Cleaning, Sanitizing, and Disinfecting Toolkit, will walk through everything you need to know about microfiber cloths, including the benefits of using microfiber, how to use microfiber, and cleaning/maintaining your microfiber cloths. Microfiber cloths can be used with soap and water to clean prior to sanitizing or disinfecting.
  • Children’s Environmental Health Network -- CEHN and its Eco-Healthy Child Care Program provide a number of resources, including cleaning and disinfecting information, to help child care providers eliminate environmental hazards found in or around child care facilities.
  • US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Safer Choice -- Child care providers can use EPA’s Safer Choice to find cleaning products that are safer for human health and the environment.
